The PCEDC employs a full-time three-person staff to manage the enormous day-to-day tasks of effectively and efficiently running our organization. The team members bring a wealth of excellent economic development and marketing experience to their work. All share a deep affection for the county and a strong desire to help it succeed and grow.
Burdette (Pete) Fullerton, Executive Director, 1990 – Present
Accomplishments: During Pete’s tenure with the Platte County EDC, the organization has won over 40 awards for economic development services from local, regional, national and international organizations. Since 1991, the Platte County EDC has been involved in the successful completion of over 130 projects that have created over 10,500 jobs in Platte County. The Platte County EDC was awarded the first ever Missouri Governor’s Achievement Award in 1999.

- Board member – Kansas City Area Workforce Investment Board & Youth Council

- Graduate of the Economic Development Institute; certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) & Certified Economic Developer (CEcD)

Morgan Bell, Real Estate & Business Development Coordinator, 2010
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate marketing tours
- Maintain communication with local real estate brokers
- Assist in site location projects and community representations
- Manage organizational activities associated with workforce development and entrepreneur/small business development services
- Coordinate community awareness programs
- Assist with all business outreach efforts in the community

- Served as marketing intern with the Kansas City Area Development Council
- Communications intern with Bombardier Aerospace Learjet
Education & Training:
- BS in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communication – University of Kansas
Diane Jones, Research & Communications Coordinator, 2005 – Present
Responsibilities:
- Manage the development and distribution of all publications, communications and Web page
- Research demographic and statistical data and coordinate assembly and distribution to the public
- Assist the Executive Director in development of investor acquisition strategies and investor renewals
- Manage all investor events, communications, recognition programs and database information
- Coordinate office administration and organizational meetings
Professional Background:
- Member of the National Association of Professional Women
- Experience in insurance, medical and church offices
- Experience in marketing life insurance, debt consolidation, mutual funds and variable annuities
Education & Training:
- Earned and maintains Life Insurance, Variable Annuity and Limited Securities licenses in both Missouri and Kansas
- Currently working toward an AAS degree in Graphic Design at Metropolitan Community College
